Mr. Mathews serves as Senior Counsel at Schumann Rosenberg & Arevalo LLP. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Maryland and his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law. While an undergraduate at the University of Maryland, Mr. Mathews interned for the late Congressman Robert Matsui.
Mr. Mathews has over 21 years of experience practicing complex civil litigation in both State and Federal Court in diverse practice areas including employment law, wrongful death and catastrophic injury, business disputes, premises liability actions, and real property claims. He has been recognized by clients and judges for his legal acumen, professionalism, and successfully briefing highly complex legal issues.
Mr. Mathews has briefed and argued appeals in both State and Federal Courts, prevailed at trial in complex litigation cases, and successfully resolved some of the most difficult and complex matters. He is admitted to the California Bar and licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits.
